DJ MOE1 got his start as a DJ at the early age of 15 years old, having been around Hip Hop his entire life. Hailing from San Francisco, CA, from birth to age 12, and relocating to Richmond, CA, his residence for the last 15 years, makes him a natural selection when you’re looking for a DJ who truly represents the Bay and the hyphy movement. His brother, DJ Juice, is known for being one of the most prolific DJs from the Bay, and DJ MOE1 is in place to add to his brother’s already-stellar body of work. Together, DJ Juice and DJ MOE1 are known as Double Impact Productions – and the two are poised to take over the Bay and beyond as a production duo, as they are already known for their impact as mixtape assassins.

To date, DJ MOE1 has released projects ranging from THE CHOSEN ONE mixtape series (Vols. 1 – 14), to an extremely popular sold-out mixtape entitled HIP HOP CLASSICS. He also mixes R&B, and has done five volumes of a mixtape series entitled HOTT & WETT utilizing new and classic R&B cuts and blends. He has also put together specialty mixtapes or as MOE1 likes to call them “Street Albums” for several bay area underground artists. He has a unique point of view on the role of Bay Area DJs who produce mixtapes, "In the Bay the mixtape game is a huge outlet for DJs and artist. It is crucial that Bay Area DJs keep putting out quality mixtapes," MOE1 explains "Everything I've gained to this point in my career has been off putting out quality mixtapes"

It’s abundantly clear that even from his view at the top of the Bay area’s DJ scene, there’s nowhere to go for DJ MOE1 but up. He’s already making a name for himself as a producer and remixer, and hopes to make the natural progression into commercial radio in the coming year.
